Bruno Melcher Bruno Melcher manages a farming operation in Mato Grosso, Brazil (12,000 hectares of soybeans and corn). Besides running his own farming operation, Bruno presently is a Director on the Board of Directors of RZ Agro (110,000 hectares of agriculture in the South of Russia), and holds an advisory position at Sierentz LLC – the commodity trading activity of the Louis Dreyfus Family Office. Bruno earned a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from ESALQ-USP and a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University. He started his professional career at Louis Dreyfus Commodities Brasil in 1992, holding several leadership positions in its agricultural, industrial, and commercial and risk management activities and focussing on commodities like citrus, soybeans, cotton and sugar. From 2009, he served as a member of the Executive Group of LD Commodities. Mr. Melcher also served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of LDC Bioenergia, LDC’s sugar-cane processing arm. Amongst other positions, Bruno also was a member of the Advisory Board of the Sugarcane Industry Union (UNICA), as well as a director of ANEC – (Brazil’s National Association of Cereal Exporters), and on the Finance and Strategy Committee of Vanguarda Agro (approx. 250,000 hectares of soybean, corn and cotton farming in the Center West of Brazil).
